League news under 13's Season 2003-2004 Away game against Mangotsfield United 25/01/2004 The game today was played at Whitehall School, going was heavy due to the rain over the past couple of days. Mangotsfield kicked off the first half. Mangotsfield scored within a minute from kickoff, with a good through ball and Joe Mitchell chipping the keeper. Patchway kicked off and started to play the ball around and started to create some chances. Mangotsfield also created further chances in an end to end first 20 minutes. Patchway got their first goal when Jordan Hendry chipped the out stretched keeper. Jordan scored his second 7 minutes later when scoring from a header, leaving the keeper stranded. After 27 minutes Patchway scored a 3rd goal, when Dan Smith chipped the keeper from a shot outside the box. Scott Phelps was unlucky not to make it 4-1 when he scored but it was called offside. Patchway's pressure kept going for most of the first half. Patchway went into the break 3-1 up, after a great performance from all. Patchway kicked off the second half and again Patchway still played the better football. 5 minutes into the second half, Jamie Moore scored for Patchway making it their forth goal, placing the ball into the back of the net from inside the box after a cross from Scott Phelps. 4 minutes later Dan Smith got his second chipping the keeper again from outside the box, making it 5-1. Sam Hood made it 6-1 2 minutes later, slotting the ball into the net. Patchway's ball game was impressive and everyone involved played one of their best games of the season. Patchway scored another goal when Alex French took his chance from just inside the half way line and placed the ball over the keeper, who managed to get his fingers onto the ball, but not able to keep it out. A couple of minutes from full time Patchway managed to get their 8th of the game with a hat trick goal from Jordan Hendry, again chipping the keeper. Mangotsfield's keeper did manage to keep the goal tally in single figures when he pulled off a few great saves. Patchway's goal keeper Josh Bullock, also had a good game. This game was one of the best games Pathway Athletic have played. Game ended 8-1 to Patchway Athletic.
